Jessica & Claudia’s Master’s degree

18 September 2024 🎓Jessica and Claudia, BIOANTH trainees, master’s degree graduates in Applied Sciences to Cultural Heritage, Materials & Sites at University of Padua!

Claudia’s thesis is entitled “From teeth to tales: investigating histological, proteomic, geochemical signature in dental remains from Jiroft culture necropolises (Iran, 3rd millennium BC)” and focusing on the bioarchaeological study of human dental remains from Early Iranian Bronze Age contexts.

Jessica’s thesis “Autoarchaeology: unravelling hormone deficiency throught high-resolution biochechemistry and dental histomorphometry – implications for bioarchaeological life history reconstructions” focuses on the bioarchaeological study of human dental remains, both modern with known history and from archaeological contexts, with a multidisciplinary approach including histological and geochemical analyses.
