Roberto Germano
Roberto Germano (M.A. 2024, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy) is a PhD student in Anthropology (supervisors: Giorgio Manzi & Alessia Nava) at the same university, with a keen interest in Ecobiology and Bioarchaeology.
His PhD project, entitled “Variation in growth rates of human dental crowns over a diachronic series in Italy, in relation to shape and size“, will be carried out largely at BIOANTH Lab. In his experimental master thesis he is carrying out histological and histomorphometric analyses on an Iron Age archaeological sample from Pontecagnano (Salerno, 7th-6th century BC). The aim of his research is to shed light on the life history of this ancient population, to reveal their habits and quality of life, and to contribute to the human ecobiological framework by providing valuable information on how this population interacted with their environment.
