
Jessica Bergamini
Jessica Bergamini (M.A. 2024, University of Padua, Italy) is an archaeologist and a PhD student in Heritage Science at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy) (supervisors: Alessandro Vanzetti, Alessia Nava, Giorgio Manzi).
Her PhD project, entitled “Invisibles: dechipering development and well- being through an Integrated analysis of dental Biomarkers. Growth, diet, sexual maturation and mobility of infants and women in iron age societies of central Italy“, will be carried out largely at BIOANTH Lab. During her studies, she participated in the Erasmus exchange programme at the University of Tübingen (Germany) and in several excavations in Italy (Sardinia and Veneto). Her Master’s thesis focuses on the bioarchaeological study of human dental remains, both modern with known history and from archaeological contexts, with a multidisciplinary approach including histological and geochemical analyses.
